Cloud Description

Experts in this TalentCloud should possess professional expertise in IoT security center around securing connected IoT networks and devices. This TalentCloud requires expertise in providing greater protection to a connected system of objects, people, animals, digital and mechanical machines and computing devices that are all interrelated through the Internet and network. 

Responsibilities 

  • Monitor, execute, and develop self-healing or automated procedures and processes for IoT device software
  • Create stack solutions and services that automatically communicate with server technologies
  • Design optimizing support tools and remotely deploy problem-solving initiatives
  • Collaborate with software developers, company managers and executives to create and implement long-term roadmaps
  • Work with Cloud Ops, mobile systems, embedded engineering and more
  • Advise engineers and vendors during IoT prototype development
  • Create enterprise architecture, meet cybersecurity standards and solidify security framework for IoT and interactions between OT, IT, IoT, and IIoT devices

Preferred Education 

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or Related Field
  • Equivalent Work Experience

Required Skills 

  • Creative and innovative in problem-solving
  • Familiarity with various operating systems, including Linux OS, iOS, and more
  • Understanding of scripting and coding languages, such as Python, C++, JavaScript, Node.js, HTML5, CSS, and others
  • Basic front-end capabilities and foundation in IoT principles and architecture
  • A firm grasp on SOC operations, device management, connectivity, information security and networking, and process management
  • Experience working with web framework applications for the simple user interface, such as Nerves, Elixir, and Phoenix
  • Work with AWS and similar products and services
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills are essential to explain complex and technical solutions to non-technical audiences
  • Experience in a test-driven development environment
  • Ability to decouple software and hardware development
  • Work well with others in all types of environments and comfortable in a highly visible role necessary to support and protect the entire userbase 
  • Utilize both logical and physical security methodologies founded in hardware
  • Understand full IoT lifecycle

Preferred Skills

  • CISSP, CEH, and recognized industry certifications are highly preferred
