Project Description

We have a Big Data Application that processes millions of messages received from mobile devices.  The environement consists of Kafka, Storm, and Cassandra and need help optimizing our Cassandra enviornment for production.  We currently have a 3 node Cassandra cluster running on local SSDs with seperate disks for data and commit logs.  We're looking for someone with hands on experience with production Casaandra operations who can assist us with implementing best practices for the following:

  • Cassandra Architecture Review
  • Set-up and Configuration
  • Nodetool & maintenace best practices
  • Monitoring Tools (Currently using OpsCenter)
  • Redundancy and Replication
  • Capacity Planning
  • Provide a run book for support & operations
