Switching from Java and PHP to Python...does have any suggestions for modules for Python?
I use 2.7 so I'm not too familiar with the 3.3 version. Here's a list of modules I've found useful:
I can only put two links a time apparently...so here are more:
I would install numpy, scipy and pandas via anaconda. sklearn is the main package for machine learning in python. In my opinion R has the most implemented ml and stats methods and rpy will allow you to connect to R. Consider ipython notebooks as well.
Also pattern is a great tool for web mining and nlp tasks
+1 for pandas, scikit-learn and the obvious ones (numpy, scipy etc.)-1 for plotly (or maybe +-0). It's pretty cool, but SLOOOOW
If you design your own ML models, Theano is really cool. Aimed at Deep Learning problems and supports GPUs out of the box.
Also you will definitely want to use Ipython Notebooks.
Some of the best python modules for data mining are:
As per my knowledge i suggest you to go for the above mention modules for better experiance.Thank You
