The market for freelance data work is huge…Experfy estimates that 20% of the big data services in demand today can be handled by short-term, freelance work, and points to a recent Wikibon report that caps that overall market at $11.4 billion. Experfy works by putting would-be freelancers through a rigorous screening process to qualify as a data expert on its platform. The applicant then lists their proficiencies with different tools such as Tableau’s software and can include a video pitch.
