Project Description

I would like to test the hypothesis of whether the Earth's electromagnetic, solar, geomagnetic and cosmic waves have an impact on human behavior.  The impact of solving this problem is that it could have predictive power on our collective global consciousness.

I am pursuing this project out of personal curiosity and will be funding this myself.

As some background, studies have shown that changes in the intensity of geomagnetic activity appear to alter brainwave responses. This makes sense intuitively because the brain is a sensitive electromagnetic organ.  Human rhythms and behaviors are synchronized with solar and geomagnetic activity.  For example, it is established that the Earth and ionsphere generates a series of resonant frequencies that directly overlap with the same frequencies of the human brain and cardiovascular system.

Given that the Earth's and cosmic EM waves are constantly changing, I am wondering how those changes impact human behavior.  One study I've read looked back into history from the 1700s and suggested that the number of wars, revolutions, etc. correlated with the number of sunspot activity.

Without divulging my data sets, I would like to test whether changes in the Earth EM waves have signalling power on human consciousness.  I have a time series data set going back several years that measures a) certain EM waves and b) human behavior & sentiment.  Both sets of data are numerical and can be converted to CSV.  I would be happy to send the example data after I have selected the individual.

The initial deliverable is to test the hypothesis using historical data.  The second phase would be to build an automated engine which will take in live data.  The third phase would be to include more factors.

I am seeking an indvidual who is strong in mathematical and statistical analysis, who has experience doing predictive analytics and forecasting using a large time series data, and who is creative and a self-starter.
